The Circus Bar

Southbank Centre headhunted Air Social to help build a brand identity for a new pop-up bar and restaurant it was putting in place beside the River Thames at Royal Festival Hall for seven weeks over 2018’s Christmas period.

At the time, Royal Festival Hall was hosting a show called ‘Circus 1903’ celebrating the Golden Age of the circus world, so the bar was given a circus theme and housed in teepees.

We designed the full branding kit, including a logo and other creative materials, as well as a microsite and lead generation campaign to attract bookings. Within days of launching, the bar had been fully-booked for the entire season with a waiting list of punters.

Circus Bar was so successful that it not only returned in 2019 but a sister bar was opened further along the Southbank. Both are scheduled to return this year.
